Bring the whole family.

We love to welcome your furry friends into selected cottages, and we kindly ask that you abide by a few guidelines to ensure everyone’s enjoyment during their stay.

Please keep your dog on a lead around Greenwood Grange. We have an enclosed dog walking area at the top of our site and there are many nearby walks where dogs can roam free - just walk straight our of the gates into Thorncombe Woods, which has acres of ancient woodland to explore!

We kindly ask that dogs be house trained, with vaccinations, worming and flea treatments all up to date.

If you suspect your dog may be in season during your stay please ensure you bring appropriate sanitary products (female dog diapers) with you.

Please help us keep the grounds immaculate for everyone by picking up after your dog. There are waste bins on site by the main entrance and gate to the dog walking area. Our team will be happy to show you where they are located 😃

We will leave a dog towel in the cottage for muddy paws and there is a fabulous dog wash (with warm water!) located across the road next to the cafe.

We are unable to accommodate dogs who are aggressive or continually bark and disturb other guests. We are unable to accommodate breeds that are listed under Breed Specific Legislation (banned dog breeds).

Staying with your dog.

Please don’t leave your dog alone at any time.

Please don’t take your dog into any cottages that are designated as pet-free. Please do not let your dog on any furniture or the bed.

We recommend bringing your dog’s bedding with you. The familiarity of something from home will help them to settle in.

Please clean muddy paws before going in to the cottage. There is a brilliant warm water dog washing machine (with shampoo and dryer option!) over the road, or you are welcome to use the three hose points across Greenwood Grange. D’Urberville and Henchard have their own hose pipes mounted on the cottage walls. For guests staying in the Courtyard there is a hose outside the Guest Laundry area.

We expect dogs to be fully house trained.

For hygiene reasons please don’t take your dog into the kitchen garden.

We can provide a crate for your dog if needed. We have a limited supply of these so please book one before you arrive with us. We will pop it in the cottage ready for you.
We have various sizes. 😊

No need to leave your furry friend at home. Bring your dog and share the memories together.
