We’re very happy to welcome dogs to Greenwood Grange. Almost half of our properties are dog friendly and the grounds include a fully enclosed dog exercise area, perfect for a gentle morning stroll before setting out for the day.
Most of our dog friendly properties have their own private enclosed gardens, with the exception of Anglebury and Kingsbere. Our cottages are large enough for 2 standard sized dogs e.g. Labradors, but if you are unsure please contact the team who will be happy to advise. We have an enclosed dog walking paddock onsite, and we are adjacent to Thorncombe woods where you will find hectares of wonderful walks for you and your four legged companions.
On site you will find poo bag dispensers by the laundry and entrance to the courtyard, and poo bins next to the main entrance gate and by the gate to the dog walking paddock. We can also supply bowls, feeding mats, leads etc if you forget to bring your own. A doggy welcome pack, including towel and treats awaits your arrival, and an information folder is available in each pet friendly cottage, containing details of local dog friendly pubs, restaurants and attractions.
Please keep your dog on its lead when walking around the site and particularly when first arriving. Properties adjacent to yours may have other dogs in or may have children staying in who are nervous around animals, so please keep an eye on your pet and don’t leave them outside unattended.
We have a number of large dog crates that can be loaned to you during your stay, please reserve these when making your booking. Where possible please don’t leave your dog alone in the cottage uncrated to avoid any damage to the fixtures and fittings or to the dogs themselves. Any damage to the property fixtures and fittings are the pet owners responsibility. If any dog is causing problems or distress to other guests, we reserve the right to ask the owner and pet to leave the site.
