Frequently Asked Questions

Arrival and departure times

Arrival is from 3pm and departure is by 10am. We do have a late arrival procedure if you are arriving after Reception has closed, please ask for more details.

Is there WiFi ?

Yes free secure WiFi is available across the complex, mobile phone signal does vary depending on your network provider.

Are beds made up / is linen provided?

Yes, beds are made up for your arrival, we also provide bath and hand towels. We don’t provide cot bedding. Travel cots are approximately 74cm x 105cm.

What supermarkets deliver?

Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Asda all deliver, we just ask that you book a slot after your arrival time please.

What’s provided in the kitchen?

The kitchens are fully equipped and we provide washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, laundry powder, bin and food composting bags, salt and pepper. We also provide j cloths, sponges, tea towels and oven gloves. Cleaning materials are available upon request.

What’s provided in the bathrooms?

Complementary soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash and 1 loo roll per bathroom.

Is there a pub within walking distance?

The nearest pubs are either the Wise Man at West Stafford or The Blue Vinny in Puddletown, both are around 5 minutes away in the car, you can walk to them but its down unlit country lanes or through the forest.

Do you have parking?

Yes there is plenty of parking onsite

Do you hire bikes?

We have a local company who will deliver hired bikes out to you www.weymouthbikehire.co.uk we have bicycle storage on-site.

Where can I buy a newspaper?

The Londis in Puddletown is open from 7am until 8pm daily

Where is the nearest beach?

Weymouth is the nearest sandy beach and is approximately 8 miles away

Do you have Sky, if not which pubs show ‘big sporting’ events?

We don’t have Sky on site, just Freeview, or you can log into your own Netflix account. Goldies pub is on the High street in Dorchester and The Sydney Arms Is just opposite Dorchester Hospital, both show live sports.

How many dogs can we bring along?

A maximum of two well behaved standard sized dogs are allowed in each of our dog friendly properties.

Is there a minimum age for hot tubs?

Yes, there is. In line with Health and Safety England guidance, we do not allow anyone under the age of 4 in our hot tubs. We also ask that children are accompanied at all times. Please ask us for a copy of our hot tub information if you would like to find out more.

How many hot tubs do you have?

We have 6 hot tubs at Greenwood Grange, 4 of which are private and located in Henchard, Coomb Barton, Wellbridge and D'Urberville gardens, and 2 which are shared and located in our badminton lawn.

What temperature are they heated to?

We aim to heat our hot tubs to 37.5C as per Health and Safety guidelines. However, please note that we always change the water in between new arrivals, and while we try to have each hot tub up to temperature in time, we cannot guarantee this. Please also note that hot tubs take much longer to heat in the winter.
